Answers

1. Why do you limit the size of GRBBC to only 6 participants?

We limit the size of our boot camp because we feel it’s important to keep the size of the group small to allow for personalized coaching and learning.  The smaller size is also best for creating a bond between individual practitioners to create an ongoing network to support one another in their growth.  We only accept the first 6 qualified registrants and then begin a wait list.

2. What is included in my registration fee?

Your registration fee of $2200 USD includes 2.5 days of instruction, one-on-one coaching by Michelle Boos-Stone, breakfast, lunch and snacks for all 2.5 days, and one group dinner; plus a full Participant Pack (see #5).

3. How much experience do I need as a graphic recorder to attend and gain the most benefit?

This workshop was specifically designed for graphic recorders who’ve been actively working in the field for one year or more and who want to create a thriving, sustainable business through powerful client engagement and have a clear branding and marketing plan for your business.  We’ve found that the more experience the graphic recorder has, the better understanding of the business concepts you’ll have to be able to more effectively partner with your clients, upsell the benefits of visual communication, and have a more fulfilling work experience.  We suggest you leave your fears at the door and just BE…and allow yourself the freedom to learn openly and explore new ways to increase your knowledge and skill set!

4. What kind of supplies should I bring with me?

We suggest you bring a smaller set of “pared down” recording markers and other “recording tools” you’d normally use (such as pastels, Tombo pens, etc.) so that you can record comfortably with your own stuff!  However, we’ll also be providing you with an awesome Participant Pack full of supplies (see below).

5. What’s in the Participant Pack I receive?

As part of your registration fee, you’ll receive an awesome Participant Pack that includes a 12 pack of Mr. Sketch markers, a box of NuPastels, a magic rub eraser, an Olfa Touch knife, a pencil and sharpener, a black Pitt artists pen marker, a pastel box (to hold your pastels), a roll of high-grade artists’ tape, and a marker bag.

6. I was considering bringing my family, would you recommend the area?

We only choose places to have our workshops that are totally cool and awesome for families!  So absolutely bring them if you’d like!  There are amazing family and children’s activities nearby at all of our workshop locations (DISNEYLAND in Orange County is 10 minutes away!).  Check out “Extend Your Stay” under the “Logistics” tab.

7. Can you accommodate me if I have dietary restrictions and/or allegies?

Absolutely! Just let us know how we can help and we’ll take care of everything else.
