ROLE PLAY EXERCISES

ROLE PLAY EXERCISES

We feel that in order for you as a GR to truly understand how to record interactive exercises during meetings, that you must EXPERIENCE what the participants go through and look for THE MEANING, cutting through the “fluff.”  We show you what facilitators are thinking so you can record what the participant needs to REMEMBER.

ROLE PLAY GRAPHIC RECORDING

ROLE PLAY GRAPHIC RECORDING

After role playing what it feels like to BE a meeting participant by experiencing an actual group exercise, Boot Campers are asked to graphically record THE MEANING of what they experienced, using the frame of the participant.  Everyone shares feedback with each other.

TYPOGRAPHY and LETTERING PRACTICE

TYPOGRAPHY and LETTERING PRACTICE

The team practices titles and lettering and determines best SIZE, COLOR and FONT given different scenarios of graphic recording.

SCENARIO PLANNING GRAPHIC RECORDING

SCENARIO PLANNING GRAPHIC RECORDING

As part of Boot Camp, Michelle will pose real-life client scenarios and situations to the graphic recorders (chosen at random from cards) and GR’s practice how they would pitch the job, how they might up sell to add value, and they draw out their ideas.  Everyone shares feedback and gives input.

ALL HAIL DEANA PEREZ!

ALL HAIL DEANA PEREZ!

Deana Perez is the Office Manager and Events Coordinator for Five Elements’ Consulting Group.  She takes such amazing care of our clients and participants that she’s literally worshipped. She’s that good.  She makes the rest of us look like rock stars and runs the show with grace under pressure. Always. With. A . Smile.

FACILITATOR SECRETS

FACILITATOR SECRETS

One of the best things you will learn at GRBBC is what consultants and facilitators WANT from you as a Graphic Recorder.  How?  Because Michelle IS one, and she’s also a long-time Graphic Recorder too.  So you get “insider information” to enable you to become an invaluable resource to facilitators and trainers.  Period.

PRACTICE…PRACTICE…PRACTICE…

PRACTICE…PRACTICE…PRACTICE…

We believe that in order to grow you must take risks.  At GRBBC we encourage you to try things you’re not used to…and to EMBRACE participants looking over your shoulder!

ROLE PLAY EXERCISES

ROLE PLAY EXERCISES

One of the biggest benefits to attending GRBBC is what you will LEARN (and steal!) from other practicing GR’s and the sense of community and friendships you will gain.  Everyone in our Boot Camps has stayed tightly connected and they refer work to one another.  We couldn’t be prouder.

MICHELLE TALKS…OMG A LOT!

MICHELLE TALKS…OMG A LOT!

Michelle created GRBBC because she wanted to impart the learnings she’s had from the business world to other Graphic Recorders.  She will tell stories, share giant mistakes she’s made, and talk incessantly about owning your uniqueness.  However she will also make you laugh at least 80% of the time.  Thank goodness or you’d be in for a long workshop.

SELLING GRAPHIC RECORDING

SELLING GRAPHIC RECORDING

One of the most important things you’ll do at GRBBC is learn how to speak about yourself, your uniqueness and how to sell graphic recording like a pro…like you’re on autopilot.  WHY?  Because Michelle will make you pitch it to her over and over again until your words, behaviors and shoulders are back when you speak it…and so that you CLEARLY BELIEVE WHAT YOU’RE SAYING.  Because when YOU believe it, others will too.

MICHELLE GRAPHICALLY RECORDING

MICHELLE GRAPHICALLY RECORDING

You’ll get to watch veteran Graphic Recorder Michelle Boos-Stone in action live recording staged business conversations and content…so you can SEE how she listens and what she captures in the moment.

PARTICIPANT SAMPLES

PARTICIPANT SAMPLES

Each Boot Camp participant is asked to share 2 samples of their work and we create a gallery wall of graphic recording, so that each of us might stretch the way we do our own work.  Throughout the workshop, participants look to the wall for new inspiration and ideas.  And that’s the way we like it.
